Also in the heart of the city, with all the facilities you could want, is the modern Sercotel Gran Luna de Granada. Situated near the train station, it is 10 minutes on foot to the historic centre and only 20 minutes by car or cab from Granada airport.
Easy access plus onsite parking and an outdoor pool, make this a great option for families arriving by car. Being so close to the motorway also makes trips out of the city, to the beach or mountains, easy to manage. Family rooms are an option and pets are welcome too! 4. Abades Nevada Palace
Abades Nevada Palace is a modern hotel and spa on a grand scale, offering 258 rooms, and is recommended here because it features two fabulous pools, indoor and out, for cooling down in the summer.
It is worth noting that it is located on the outskirts of the city, a 10-minute cab ride from the historic city centre and 30 minutes from the ski resort, and some may find the proximity to the A-395 Sierra Nevada motorway somewhat disturbing. If you do choose this hotel you might want to request a room that does not face in this direction, although to do so may deprive you of the spectacular views of the Sierra Nevada.
The upside of the location, of course, is that the hotel is easy to access if you are arriving by car and there is onsite parking for €10 a day. It is also very convenient if you are going to a concert or sporting event at the nearby Palacio de Deportes.
As you would expect from an ultra-modern 4 star hotel, all rooms are air-conditioned, with satellite TV and a minibar, safe, hairdryer and bathroom amenities. There is free Wifi throughout.

If you are looking for self-catering apartments with pools Apartamentos Turísticos Alhambra and Apartamentos Montesclaros are located in the Albayzín with fabulous views of the Alhambra.
If you prefer to not be right in the city centre there is the Hotel Granada Palace, in Monachil 6km away, and Hotel Villa Sur located just 3.7km from the centre in Huétor Vega.
